Fork & Knife: Web Design of Restaurants

Today I would like to share with you a couple of web design layouts made for restaurants.

What are you supposed to see in any restaurant? The menu, plates, glasses, and... fork and knife, of course! If people expect to see these things in the restaurants why not to use the images of them when designing a website for a restaurant?

Looks like a good idea! Here are a couple of examples of how it can be done:

Jedzonko na Stysia - another restaurant showing this idea in action. Actually I like this design most, maybe because if the dark background and red content area. Such colors combination always looks attractive!

Food Templates: Winery Companies

Today is Monday and I think is a good day to share some ideas of how to design a website for winery company. It's is obvious that that the clipart should contain some grapes, wine bottles, and some wine glasses. Of course, if your client is seeking for something not so traditional you may go with an absolutely original. Tp play around with the company's logo for example.

But my experience tells me that most of winery companies do want traditions on their websites... And it is easily understandable...

Now I'd like to show you three beautifully designed winery food templates. All of them have the wine clipart we talked above and the layout is rather traditional too.

Food Design: Inspiration

Now I would like to share with you some great examples of websites in the food industry.

The first website is - ADRIA COLD. They do ice-cream, chocolate cakes and other sleety stuff. The website design is simple yet pretty and... mmm... sweet! See below:



SHEFFA - is all about nice greeny design, the leaves at the main page with the overall clean-style design looks really marvelous!



I need to remind you that both of these design are custom. They are 100% original, no food templates used here.

Still they may be easily converted into something like WordPress Templates - especially the secon one...

Ok, here goes my first collection of food templates. This time I would like to show you what food templates are available for WordPress. WordPress is a blogging software so people who are using it are mainly bloggers. I do not think that any of them would write about the specific restaurant or cafe...

Food Templates Blog Says Hello World!

Food templates blog is about... Well... I guess I need to introduce myself first.

As a web designer and a son of a restaurant owner I', involved into many web design projects for restaurants, cafes, groceries, etc. So I'm going to cover different web design for restaurants topics here. I often use web templates in my work so I will post series of food templates here too.

I'm not sure if this blog is going to be of a big interest to the design community... Anyway it will be kind of a bookmark page for me.
